A man died killed Monday afternoon in a Tampa motorcycle accident on Busch Boulevard.

According to officials with the Florida Highway Patrol, 43 year-old Mark Graves was driving a 2010 Harley Davidson west on Busch Boulevard near Arrawana Avenue shortly after 4:30 p.m. when the accident occurred. Police say 74 year-old George Gunter was driving a 2006 Ford truck east and made a left turn, failing to yield to Graves. The motorcycle struck the passenger side of Gunter's truck.


Graves was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The police report said he was not wearing a helmet. Gunter was uninjured in the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.

A man was critically injured Tuesday in a Tampa motorcycle accident.

According to officials with the Tampa Police Department, an unidentified 58 year-old motorcyclist was traveling north on 40th street shortly before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday when the accident occurred. Police say the motorcyclist attempted to turn left on to East 18th Avenue when a southbound Toyota pickup truck, driven by 38 year-old Ali Alkahla, struck the man.

Alkahla was not injured in the accident.

The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was transported, by ambulance, to Tampa General Hospital for treatment.

The accident remains under investigation.

A camper overturned on Interstate 275 Monday night. According to police reports, the truck and the camper it was towing turned over. As a result, a fire started and blocked traffic for a significant amount of time. 

While single-vehicle accidents may not initially injure other cars or drivers, they can sometimes cause traffic delays and congestion that can lead to other accidents. In most cases, the driver involved in the single-vehicle accident will not be liable for any subsequent damages or injuries.

A 66 year-old man from Florida was recently killed in an accident while riding on his motorcycle with a group of other riders.

The man was trying to pass a pickup with a trailer attached to it, when the pickup truck took a turn in front of the motorcycle causing the collision.  The Florida man was thrown from the vehicle and landed on top of the trailer.  

The man was the owner of several dealerships for Harley-Davidson motorcycles.  He was attempting to attend a motorcycle rally to be held in Sturgis, South Dakota before the accident took his life.

Five individuals in Florida were injured in a motorcycle accident on Saturday night.  The accident was a chain reaction of sorts which injured several riders. 

The driver of one of the motorcycles started the accident by beginning to brake.  This then caused another motorcycle to crash into another.  

In total, four drivers of the motorcycles were injured, along with one passenger.  All the individuals involved were taken to a local hospital for treatment. One of the individuals was taken to the hospital for medical helicopter. 

The crash is currently under investigation.  Charges could be pending for the individual who started the accident.
