Three people were killed Thursday night in a Tampa car accident.
According to officials with the Tampa police department, the fatal two-car crash occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of North 34th and East Chelsea streets. Police say a blue 1995 Buick was traveling east on Chelsea and a white 2008 Didoge Charger was southbound on 34th street. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
Three people in the Buick died, police said. A 67 year-old man and a 58 year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
A 46 year-old woman was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Police have not released the names of the victims, pending the notification of their families. The accident remains under investigation.
