Drunk driver hits cop car

by Administrator 9. September 2009 05:55

A man crashed his car into an accident scene Monday night. Kevin Chaney was arrested Wednesday for causing the accident.

According to police reports, Chaney was traveling south on U.S. 19 Monday night when he switched lanes quickly to avoid traffic. While switching lanes, Chaney lost control of his car, which then hit the police car at the site of the original accident.

When two police officers saw Chaney's car approaching, they jumped over the divider, which led to injuries for both officers. After Chaney's car came to a stop, police performed a field sobriety test and Chaney registered 0.219 blood alcohol level.
