Police are investigating the deaths of three pedestrians who were killed in hit-and-runs while walking along dark and dangerous highways. Police officials said they are trying to determine why these three men were walking so early in the morning in such a remote investigation. 

The investigation includes the death of two men who died early Friday on State Road 70 and the death of one man who died early Sunday on U.S. 301. When asked whether alcohol played a part in any of the men's deaths, police officials said they are still waiting for the results from toxicology tests.
