Larry D. Beltz received his Bachelor of Science degree in business from Florida State University in l967 with a major in "Insurance". He attended law school at the University of Florida and Florida State University receiving his Juris Doctor degree in 1970 from Florida State University and has been licensed to practice law in the State of Florida since 1970. He spent four years in insurance and financial planning and then in 1975 he started practicing law representing plaintiffs in personal injury claims. He does not and will not represent any insurance companies and has limited the firm's practice to the representation of injured claimants. He is a member of the American Bar Association, The Florida Bar, American Association for Justice (formerly known as Association of Trial Lawyers of America), Florida Justice Association (formerly known as Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers), the Roscoe Pound Foundation, the St. Petersburg Bar Association, Hillsborough Bar Association, Clearwater Bar Association, Manatee County Bar Association and West Pasco Bar Association. He was chairman of the Ethics Committee of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers for 1987 and a member of the Ethics Committee for The Florida Bar for the term of 1987 through 1990. He is admitted to practice before the Federal Middle District Court of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals of the United State of America and the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He has attended numerous seminars in the areas of law relating to the cases he handles, i.e., negligence, vehicular accidents, medical malpractice and products liability. He has conducted numerous jury trials since 1975. In 1978 he tried one of the first nursing home cases to be tried in Florida.
